Jonathan Seth Halfacre, 37
PORTLAND – Jonathan Seth Halfacre, 37, passed away unexpectedly, July 10, 2017.
He was born in Plantation, Fla., the son of Ronnie Kamm Halfacre, and the late John David Halfacre.
The family relocated to Maine when Jon was 5 years old, where he attended Cape Elizabeth schools. A decorated, post-9/11 Army veteran, he most recently was attending Southern Maine Community College, where he rediscovered his love of art, and was majoring in it.
He was predeceased by his father, John David; and his older brother, Brandon C. Halfacre.
Survivors include his mother and sister, Ronnie and Jessica Halfacre, of South Portland; and his sister, Pamela Halfacre, of San Diego, Calif.; a son, Brandon L. Schaeffer, and his mother, Kristina Schaeffer, of Hiram, Ga.; beloved friend and companion, Ardena Cook, of Phillips; as well as countless friends from all walks of life.
Jonathan was a person with many interests: an artist and photographer, an amateur standup comedian, and a beloved son, brother, father, and friend.

We love you, Jonny; you have taken a piece of our hearts with you. We will love you and miss you for always. “Brrr, Cookies!”

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at Levey Chapel, 471 Deering Ave., in Portland. Interment will follow at Southern Maine Memorial Veterans Cemetery at 83 Stanley Rd. in Springvale. Arrangements are by the Portland Jewish Funeral Home.
