Frances (Faye) Abel, 89
KENNEBUNK – ‘Frances (Faye) Abel, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, passed away at home in Kennebunk on December 28th surrounded by her family. She was 89.
Born Frances Rita Abelsky, and called Freidel, in Worcester, Mass, she leaves daughters Shayne Danese of Vail CO, Karen Demers of Worcester Mass., Cynthia Kurtz of Kennebunk, and Julie Mandell of Wells; grandchildren Matthew Bresler, Chance Soldoff, Michael Demers, and David Axel Kurtz; and great grandchildren Ashley, Calvin and Brandon. She had special relationships with her nieces and nephews including Margie and Robert Ory, Malcolm and Bonnie Wittenberg, Barry Abel, Steven and Esther Bean, and Gina and the late Marc Wittenberg. Special friends include Bella Aron, Carolyn Robie, and Sharon Vanasse.
The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to the devoted and caring staffs of the Home Health Visiting Nurses and Southern Maine Hospice.
Graveside service will be held at Mt Sinai Cemetery, Hicks St., Portland on Tuesday, December 31st at 10 a.m. Arrangements by The Jewish Funeral Home, Portland.
All are welcome after the service and the following day at the home of her daughter Cynthia Kurtz, 154 Western Avenue, Kennebunk.
